Hi, I'm Maya.

I'm an upcoming college sophomore who's taken 14 AP classes in my high school career, maintaining a straight-A average and scoring a 5 on all tests. I also obtained a near-perfect (1590) score on the SAT.

I've been tutoring since 2017, and I've helped students with every subject under the sun, ranging from Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus to SAT English prep. I've also taught my own classes (including standup comedy, fitness and a book club).

Let's face it: kids get bored fast.

Most students I've helped find their school classes uninteresting. They don't see why learning math is useful, or they think preparing for the SAT is a waste of time.

When I tutor students, I cultivate the ideal mix of education and enjoyment. Kids CAN learn the content they need and have fun in the process!

How does this all work?

$75/hour (if this isn't financially feasible for your family, reach out and we'll work something out!)
- if semi-private session (2+ students): $60/hour/student
One-hour sessions once, twice or thrice a week (depending on individual student needs)
In-person or virtual - whichever you prefer!
We can coordinate logistics (such as time, location, payment, etc.) post-trial session

Why am I the right choice?

With me, you're not limited to one subject. We can do anything you choose, anytime you want. I can help with math homework, quiz you for an AP History test and introduce you to a new scientific concept - all in the same session!

My Credentials

I've been tutoring since 2017 (nearly eight years). I've taught math (everything from elementary school to AP Calculus), science (biology, chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, earth science, etc.), history (world, U.S., government, etc.), English (grammar, reading, literature, essay writing, creative writing, etc.) and more! No matter what subject you need help with, I can teach it.
I've taken 14 AP classes (AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Computer Science A, AP Biology, AP Physics 1 and 2, AP Government and Politics, AP U.S. History, AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, AP French Language and Composition, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics) and gotten a 5 on every exam I've taken
I achieved a 1590 on the SAT (800 Verbal/Reading Portion, 790 Math Portion) by missing only one question on the entire test
I'm an engaging speaker (see my Jobs/Projects tab) and I channel the same energy and enthusiasm into my tutoring!
- I'm a standup comedian (I've even taught standup classes in the past) and I know how to make lessons humorous and enjoyable!
