Maya Sriram is a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley, double majoring in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (GPA: 3.93). She is passionate about the intersection of technology, business, and social impact, and she pursues this through internships, student leadership, and entrepreneurial projects.
Maya has gained hands-on experience in both business development and technology. As a Business Development Intern at Floras, she identified new partnership opportunities, created outreach toolkits, and connected with multiple Bay Area city governments to lay the groundwork for climate-focused pilot programs. At Orcana.AI, she combined marketing and technical work, designing blog and video content while collaborating with engineers to adapt a machine learning model for client revenue forecasting.
On campus, Maya is active in the Society of Women Engineers, where she manages the organization’s budget and organizes events for 200+ student members, and in the Women in Computing and Data Science club, where she worked on projects involving user engagement analytics and sentiment-analysis machine learning models. She is also a member of Improv4Charity, performing in shows and leading digital marketing efforts to expand the club's reach.
She enjoys creating and leading projects. Currently, she is co-organizing the CAD Hackathon (a four-day design challenge for high school and college students). Maya enjoys bridging technical innovation with creativity and community, and she is excited to continue exploring opportunities at the crossroads of technology and business.
